Immerse yourself in nature and create unforgettable memories with the many activities offered right on our property. Whether you’re visiting with family, as a couple, or with friends, Domaine Chalets des Pins is the perfect place to slow down, recharge, and make the most of every season.

Our Beach

When you book a cottage with us, you have access to our 175-metre private beach along Lac des Pins, surrounded by wooded land. We lovingly call it the most beautiful boreal beach! Free of charge, you’ll find lounge chairs, Adirondack chairs, and various toys including sandbox toys, a pétanque set, and balls.

Water Activities

Several watercraft are available to you at no charge, including pedal boats, kayaks, and paddleboards (SUPs) in both adult and children’s sizes — perfect for exploring the lake and spotting Beaver Island. The lake is non-motorized. Life jackets are available on-site, but if you need a specific size, we recommend bringing your own!

On-site, you’ll have access to our playground featuring swings, monkey bars, a slide, a punching ball, and a basketball hoop — fun for kids and adults alike!

Every cottage is equipped with a DVD player, so you’ll get to relive that magical experience of physically choosing a film! And don’t worry — if you have teenagers, we also have Wi-Fi and the TV offers plenty of series and movies too!

When conditions allow, we maintain an ice rink for skating or shooting pucks on the net! Equipment is not available for rent, so please bring your own skates and sticks.

While we may not rival the slopes of Saint-Jean-de-Matha, when weather conditions allow, you’ll find a sledding hill right on the beach in winter. Sleds and toboggans are provided for endless fun for all ages!

We are delighted to offer you access to our lovingly tended herb garden. Feel free to enhance your meals at no charge with freshly picked mint, parsley, oregano, chives, thyme, or sage.

You’re welcome to fish from the dock with a valid fishing licence and your own equipment. Our lake is home to plenty of fish that bite quickly — you’ll find yellow perch and smallmouth bass, among others!

Located on Queen Street, Restaurant la Queen features a terrace, a welcoming central bar, and comfortable booth seating. In a relaxed and lively atmosphere, they offer fresh and carefully prepared bistro classics.

Café Chez Lucien, the newcomer in town, offers barista-crafted coffee made from locally roasted beans in a beautifully designed setting. You can also enjoy a bite to eat from their rotating weekly menu.

Pêche & co (8 min)
Only 8 minutes from our cottages, Pêche & co offers an atmosphere as colorful as it is welcoming. Their bubble teas are true works of art, and their matcha is equally impressive. We challenge you not to leave with something colorful… impossible!

Crèmerie Chez Billy (8 min)
Located on the main street, Crèmerie Chez Billy is a true village ice cream shop where soccer and baseball players gather after games. They offer not only multiple ice cream flavors, but also gelato, churros, frozen yogurt, milkshakes, and many delicious dips for soft serve. Our favorite: salted caramel chocolate!

L’imposteur is the favorite restaurant in our neighboring town. This warm flexitarian restaurant, primarily vegetarian with vegan options, offers refined and flavorful dishes along with a great wine selection.

Casse-Croûte 125 (5 min)
Casse-Croûte 125 is a regional institution known for its excellent poutine. They offer a simple menu with classics like hot dogs, hamburgers, and pogos — and they do it perfectly. Rated 5/5, people travel from far away to enjoy it! P.S. They even have vegetarian options.

Waldo Peppers Pizzeria offers a wide variety of 12-inch Neapolitan pizzas. The owners traveled to Italy to learn the original recipes. To ensure freshness and quality, all meats are marinated, smoked, and/or sliced in-house.

In autumn, the countless century-old trees compete in shimmering colours reminiscent of precious gems. Every walk into the forest reveals a new wonder of nature, whether one of the many water features — such as Chute Darwin, immortalized by the legend of the sorcerer Nipissingue and Princess Hiawatha —

À l’hivIn winter, the conifers steal the show as a glistening white blanket settles on their branches. Our Lac des Pins becomes a frozen mirror perfect for skating. The beach transforms into a sledding hill for all ages. Sports enthusiasts will find cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing close by.

In spring, the flowers of our lush gardens begin to bloom. We savour the last cool days by cozying up around the indoor fireplace.

In summer, visitors come to enjoy our 175-metre beach and non-motorized watercraft including pedal boats, kayaks, and paddleboards. Many love casting a line into the lake or gathering around the outdoor fire pit under the stars.

The main street, Queen Street, offers a charming atmosphere with its restaurants, produce market, cheese shop, and bakery. Several large grocery stores are also located within a 15-minute drive.
