In autumn, particularly the many century-old trees rival each other with shimmering colours comparable to precious stones. Every hike through the forest lets us discover a new bounty of nature, whether one of the many waterways, such as Dorwin Falls, immortalized by the legend of the Nipissing sorcerer and Princess Hiawatha;
In winter, the conifers steal the show, with a large, sparkling white coat settling on their needles. Our Lac des Pins then offers us a frozen mirror where it feels wonderful to skate. The beach then turns into a sliding hill for young and old. Sports lovers’ meeting place, some will choose the cross-country ski, snowshoe or downhill ski trails.
In spring, the flowers in our lush gardens begin to bloom. We make the most of the last cold spells by snuggling around the indoor fireplace.
In summer, vacationers come to enjoy our 175 m beach and our non-motorized watercraft, such as pedal boats, kayaks and paddle boards, during the warm season. Many like to cast a line in the water to fish in the lake or to build outdoor fires under the stars.
The main street, the Queen, offers a thoroughly charming atmosphere with its restaurants, fruit and vegetable grocery, cheese shop and bakery. Several large grocery stores can also be found within a 15-minute radius.
